Junior Dragon Photos can now be viewed in the Gallery

Junior Dragon Day

The Junior Dragon day at Colliers Park will have a slight alteration to the format of the event.
Due to the first team playing on Tuesday night at Fleetwood they have decided to train early on Thursday morning in preparation for the game against Grimsby on Saturday.
This means that unfortunately they will have finished training by the time the Junior Dragons have arrived at Colliers Park.
However the players will be there to sign autographs and have photographs taken with all of the children and the Easter Egg hunt and fun activity will go ahead as planned. Please bring your autograph books and pens as requested.
There are plans in place for the Junior Dragons to visit the training ground next season to watch a session so they will not miss out on anything.

Wrexham Award For Excellence

AVOW (Association of Voluntary Organisations in Wrexham) were pleased to present The Racecourse Community Foundation with the Wrexham Award for Excellence on Wednesday 29th of February 2012, following Wales’ win against Andorra in their U21 EUFA European Championship qualifying match.
The Racecourse Community Foundation are among 28 other youth support services that have so far achieved the award. The presentation was the perfect opportunity to celebrate and acknowledge the quality of service The Racecourse Community Foundation provide to Children and Young people from Wrexham, Denbighshire and Flintshire.

To achieve the Wrexham Award for Excellence each organisation had to provide evidence across a wide range of organisational governance and show the levels of participation Young People have in the running and planning of activities. The scheme is funded by The Welsh Government and the Youth Service Strategy Grant.

Lee Jones, Business Development Manager and Head Coach at The Racecourse Community Foundation said: This is recognition of the great strides the Racecourse Community Foundation has taken in a short space of time to provide quality programmes to children and young adults across the three counties. This award shows a commitment by the RCF to continue to strive for the highest possible standards. A big thank you must go to AVOW and Jenny Jones for making this process accessible to the Foundation
