The third centre of development will be starting on Monday 6th August 2012 at Colliers Park for all children that have been nominated by their schools.
This season sees the Flintshire and Wrexham Centres merged to Colliers Park for easier talent identification for the coaches and scouts of Wrexham FC.
The purpose of the Centre is to give players identified as possessing talent an opportunity to receive additional coaching to allow them to maximise their potential.
Wrexham FC is committed to producing young local players to play in the first team and the Centre of Development forms an essential part of their Player Development Strategy.
Dependent upon ability and the stage of their development, players will be recommended to Wrexham FC Centre of Excellence or Welsh Premier Academies.
The Centre is run by the Football and Education Foundation who work closely with schools in the area.
It provides players with a structured curriculum of coaching to help them to progress and supplement the games programme they get at their local Junior League club.
The coaches working with the players are highly qualified, First Aid Trained, CRB checked and have extensive experience of working within the player development field.
Many of the coaches also work at the Centre of Excellence and are fully aware of the standards required to progress.
