The RCF secure funding to deliver the PLPS Program

In January 2018, The RCF were successful in securing funding through the National league Trust and Premier League to deliver the Premier League Primary Stars Program. The purpose of the PLPS project is to use the power of football to raise standards within primary schools with the main focus being on PE, Literacy and Numeracy.

The RCF project, which will run between January and July 2018 will see the following delivered across north Wales:

  • 10 hours of literacy and numeracy sessions and 10 hours of PE delivered to 12 primary schools.
  • 10 hours of dinner time football delivered to 4 primary schools.
  • 4 primary school teachers will receiving in-depth mentoring on the delivery of PE from our coaches.
  • 4 girls only after school football clubs (5 weeks each) delivered to 4 primary schools.
  • PHSE Assemblies delivered to 4 primary schools
  • 3 mixed 6-a-side football tournaments.
  • 2 girls only football tournaments.

The project allows us to continue to develop and deliver our superb education through football projects whilst also ensuring we create a legacy for the project through the mentoring program.

4 of our coaches will also complete the Level 3 PESS qualification to support the delivery of the project.
