Meet Our Team of Coaches
Matthew has been with the RCF for a number of years. Matthew began as a Football Development Officer covering Denbighshire, Conwy and Gwynedd and set up a fantastic program in those counties. Matthew has been integral in developing our education and football programs and in 2016 became the Business Development Manager Succeeding Lee Jones. Matthew has also spent a number of years working within the Wrexham AFC Centre of Excellence, has obtained the FAW A Youth Licence and has a Masters Degree in Sport Research.
Rob has been with the RCF for a number of years, initially coming in to deliver projects in Denbighshire and Conwy. During his time with us, Rob has proved to be an extremely popular member of the team with schools, parents and players alike, with his enthusiasm and dedication constantly on display. Rob is a graduate from Leeds Met University and also holds the UEFA B Licence in Football Coaching. Rob is also head coach of the Wrexham AFC Under 10’s team.
Gemma is our head of girls and women’s football and over the last few years has ensured the RCF are at the forefront in the development of the female game across North Wales. Gemma is extremely passionate about increasing participation within the female game and her commitment and dedication ensure that top quality programs and projects are developed and delivered. Gemma is an award winning coach, winning the WFT Grassroots Coach of the Year for North East Wales in 2016. Gemma also holds the UEFA B Licence in football coaching and coaches the Wrexham AFC Under 8’s CoE team.
Josh joined the RCF at the age of 18 as a volunteer looking to gain experience in football coaching. Josh has gone on to prove himself to be an excellent coach and has worked extremely hard to develop his skills and to ensure the highest standards and quality are delivered throughout our program. Josh is now a permanent coach with the RCF. Josh hold the FAW C Licensee and FAW Goalkeeper coach award.
Steve is the newest member of our team having joined in September 2016. However, Steve is no stranger to the club having worked within the Wrexham AFC Centre of Excellence for the last few years. Steve is extremely professional and represents the high standards and commitment that the RCF demand.
