We have now finalised the details of the 2016/2017 Wrexham FC Centres of development for Wrexham and Denbighshire and the recruitment process has now begun.

This season sees the Flintshire and Wrexham Centre’s merged to Colliers Park to make talent identification easier for the coaches and scouts of Wrexham FC. While the Denbighshire Centre will be held at Denbigh Leisure Centre.

The purpose of the Centre is to give players, identified as possessing talent, an opportunity to receive additional coaching to allow them to maximise their potential.

Wrexham FC is committed to producing young local players to play in the first team and the Centre of Development forms an essential part of their player development strategy.

Dependent upon ability and the stage of their development, players will be recommended to the Wrexham Centre of Excellence or other Welsh Premier academies.

The Centre is run by the Football and Education Foundation who work closely with schools in the area and provides players with a structured curriculum of coaching to help them progress and supplement the games programme they get at their local junior clubs.

The coaches working with the players are  all highly qualified, first aid trained, CRB checked and have extensive experience of working within the player development field.

Many of the coaches also work at the Centre of Excellence and are fully aware of the standards required to progress.
